Many who come to Al-Anon/Alateen may initially feel despair, but we are here to offer hope. We understand hopelessness and the belief that things can never change. However, we have seen that change is possible. We all come to Al-Anon because we want and need help, and we believe that with proper support, our lives can be different.
In Al-Anon and Alateen, members share their experiences, strengths, and hopes. You will meet others who share your feelings and frustrations if not your exact situation. We come together to learn a better way of life and to find happiness whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.
