Trunk or Treat

It’s candy, costumes, and community—all rolled into one amazing evening.

Trunk or Treat is Right Around the Corner!

CapCity's annual Trunk-or-Treat is Friday, October 31, from 6PM - 8PM—and we’d love for you to be part of it!

Costumes, decorations, candy, and community make this one of our biggest outreach events of the year, but it takes a team of volunteers to make it happen.

  • We’ll begin collecting candy on Sunday mornings throughout October, but donations can also be dropped off anytime during the week at the main office (Monday–Friday, 8AM–4PM). Every bag of candy helps us bless more families!
  • Even more, we’re looking for volunteers to make the night unforgettable. Whether you enjoy decorating a trunk, working behind the scenes, or welcoming families with a smile, there’s a place for you.

Don't just attend ... be part of the fun and make an impact!

Looking for a way to get involved?

No matter your gifts, there’s a way for you to serve at Trunk-or-Treat. Decorate, help behind the scenes, or welcome families—it all makes a difference! See how you can serve and register today.

  • Trunk Host
  • What's more fun than decorating a trunk and handing out candy? We’re aiming for at least 25 trunks, each with a Biblical twist on their theme! You can decorate as an individual or as a group.
  • For Groups: Please designate one point of contact for registration.
  • October 31 Set Up
  • Prefer to stay behind the scenes? Come early and help us set up for the event!
  • Inflatables Monitor
  • Got bounce? Help keep an eye on the inflatables and ensure the kiddos are having fun safely.
  • Face Painting
  • Are you the artistic type? Face painting is always a hit with kids (and some adults, too)!
  • Snacks Station
  • Not a gourmet chef? No problem! Help with snow cones, popcorn, or cotton candy. It’s a fun and easy way to lend a hand.
  • Candy Runner
  • Have lots of energy? You’ll be resupplying the trunks with candy throughout the evening! (This is a great job for teens, but be ready to walk a lot—comfy shoes are a must!)
  • Traffic Directors
  • Put on your reflective vest and help direct traffic, ensuring smooth flow and a safe experience for all of our guests.
  • Selfie Station
  • Love helping people capture memories? Assist our guests at the selfie station to snap those perfect Trunk-or-Treat moments.
  • Greeters
  • Set the tone for our event! As a greeter, you’ll be the first friendly face our guests see, directing them on where to go and how to navigate Trunk-or-Treat.
  • Sound Tech
  • Want to be the DJ for the night? Help us with sound and music to keep the party going!
  • October 31 Teardown
  • At the end of the evening, we'll need a hand cleaning up and collecting trash around the event site. After a long day, we’ll appreciate all the help we can get!

For Our Volunteers

Thank you for stepping up to serve at this year’s Trunk-or-Treat! Your time and energy make all the difference. Here are a few important details to help the night run smoothly:

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive and be set up by 5:30PM.
  • Trunk Hosts: A team member will be on-site to guide you to your assigned spot. Candy will be provided—no need to bring your own!
  • Volunteer Parking: All volunteers should park in the lot next to the State buildings.

We couldn’t make an event like this happen without your support. Thank you in advance for your enthusiasm and commitment—you help make Trunk-or-Treat a fun and meaningful experience for our CapCity fam and our community!
